Herbal poultice / Herballectomy
A moist preparation of herbs and other natural materials, applied externally to the skin as supportive care. Suitability depends on the ingredients, your skin, and your health condition.

Support alongside your treatment.
The clinic refers to this external herbal poultice therapy as “Herballectomy.” It is not surgery and does not apply herbs directly to internal organs. Depending on the preparation, warmth or cooling may offer temporary comfort for muscle or joint aches, stiffness, and minor skin irritation.
Some herbs are traditionally used for local swelling and inflammation, but benefits vary and clinical evidence is limited. Warm applications may temporarily increase local skin circulation; this does not mean they treat an underlying organ disease.
Understanding the limitations.
The clinic offers supportive care alongside other treatment for people with stroke, chronic kidney disease, fatty liver disease, heart disease, ovarian cysts or fibroids, joint pain, and waist or lower-back pain.
A topical poultice is not a proven treatment or cure for these underlying conditions. Continue prescribed care and discuss any herbal preparation with a qualified healthcare professional.
Do not use a poultice to drain boils or abscesses, or apply it to open wounds, without medical evaluation. Infections need appropriate treatment. Preparations must be hygienic; avoid excessive heat, stop if irritation occurs, and seek urgent hospital care for stroke symptoms, chest pain, or other emergencies.
